Western Australian officials and fellow guests attended the 14th Perth Chinese New Year Fair in Western Australia on Feb 2.
Chinese Ambassador to Australia Xiao Qian, Western Australian Premier Roger Cook, Opposition Leader Shane Love, Perth Mayor Basil Zempilas, President of the Chung Wah Association Chen Ting and Chinese Consul-General Long Dingbin attended the event.
Xiao extended his greetings to the Chinese community in Western Australia, emphasizing that Chinese New Year is a global celebration, and the shared festivities reflect WA's multicultural development.
He highlighted WA's rich natural resources and the fruitful outcomes of deepened and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Western Australia.
Xiao also acknowledged the significant contributions of the local Chinese community in promoting economic and cultural exchanges between China and Australia.
