Photographer Chen Shaolin has been using his camera to express his deep love for his home — the Ningxia Hui autonomous region — and his profound respect for the Yellow River and the self-reliant laborers along its banks.
Chen said that every time he approaches the river, with its nearby mountains and fields, and stands beside the workers, he discovers vivid characters and heartwarming stories.
"The laborers are the most beautiful," he said.
