Konica Minolta, a Japanese imaging product manufacturer, has hosted a media event in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, celebrating three major 20-year anniversaries and introducing its new mid-term business plan tailored for the Chinese market.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of Konica Minolta's presence in China, the 20th anniversary of its bizhub brand, and the 20th year since the company entered the digital production printing sector.

Yuji Nakata, managing director of Konica Minolta China, reflected on the company's strong performance in 2024, noting that its A3 digital multifunctional printers and digital industrial printing business continued to serve the Chinese market.

Nakata outlined the new mid-term business plan for China (2026-30), which is centered on three priorities: increasing market share in key segments, strengthening the industrial digital industrial printing business, and expanding into related business areas.

Ling Yun, general manager of Office Printing Sales Headquarters and Marketing Integration Department of Konica Minolta China, highlighted the company's integrated local R&D and manufacturing capabilities in Wuxi, Dalian, and Dongguan.

According to Ling, Konica Minolta China is accelerating the adaptation of its systems to Chinese platforms to better serve the market. Most of the company's digital multifunctional printers now support major local operating systems. In addition, the company is actively rolling out AI-enabled smart office solutions for public services, education, government, and enterprise clients.

As demand for personalized production grows, printing companies need to offer fast, flexible, and small-batch solutions. Konica Minolta China is addressing this core demand by focusing on its industrial printing business, particularly digital label printing systems, said Ling.

At the recently concluded Labelexpo Asia 2025 in Shanghai, the company showcased two key innovations, the AccurioLabel 400 and AccurioLabel 230, demonstrating its technological expertise and forward-looking vision.
