The Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission recently established a bureau dedicated to the private economy.
Ai Xuefeng, director of the commission, announced the addition at a news conference about building a modern industry system, which was held in Guangzhou, Guangdong province on Wednesday.
Authorities would fully support the development of all enterprises, including private ones, in Guangdong while enhancing communication with them and helping address their difficulties in a timely manner, he said.
They will also support enterprises in taking a key role in innovation in the province.
In addition to the supportive policies issued in recent years, the provincial authorities will work on additional policies concerning large-scale equipment renewals and trade-ins of old consumer goods, as well as on major national strategies and building-up of security capacity in key areas, he said.
