As some listed companies related to the humanoid robot industry unveil their strategies, concept stocks linked to AI large models and humanoid robots are seeing a surge, the Economic Information Daily reported on Friday.
A number of institutions said they are optimistic about the follow-up investment opportunities in the sector.
Data from market intelligence provider Tonghuashun showed that an index tracking humanoid robot concept stock rose 3.52 percent on Feb 5, the first trading day after the Spring Festival holiday.
Main technology and manufacturing giants from home and abroad have started to explore the humanoid robot industry in recent years.
Domestic enterprises including Huawei, BYD, Xiaomi, Xpeng have tapped into the humanoid robot industry, while main humanoid robot manufacturers such as AgiBot, Unitree Robotics, Leju Robot and UBTech Robotics are increasing shipment efforts.
Jensen Huang, the founder and CEO of Nvidia, showcased 14 humanoid robots to the public at the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show. Tesla CEO Elon Musk also unveiled plans to produce thousands of humanoid robots in 2025, with a tenfold increase in production by 2026.
CITIC Securities said that the global humanoid robot shipments in 2024 are projected to reach more than 2,000 units.
Currently, the main manufacturers hold more than 10,000 accumulated orders. In 2025, the global humanoid robot shipments will reach 10,000 to 20,000 units.
The humanoid robot industry chain is projected to enter a profitable stage from thematic investment in 2025. Domestic humanoid robot manufacturers are anticipated to become globally competitive, benefiting from both cost and demand side advantages, according to a research report by Industrial Securities.
Meanwhile, the industry is gradually entering the mass production stage, both domestically and internationally, fueling the whole industrial chain.
