A high-speed train arrived at Guangzhou South Railway Station on Wednesday evening, returning over 1,200 migrant workers from Guizhou province to their workplace in Guangdong province, one of the country's foremost destinations for migrant labor forces.

The chartered train, jointly organized by the human resources and social security departments of Guangdong and Guizhou, was part of government efforts to maintain employment stability after the Spring Festival holiday, which ended on Tuesday.

In addition to organizing chartered trains, human resources authorities in Guangdong have widely disseminated employment information on online platforms and in public places while conducting online and offline job fairs to provide services for migrant workers.

The authorities are coordinating efforts with relevant departments to handle the peak period of job changes after the holiday, which is usually the critical period for enterprises to resume work and production.

Over 2,000 online and offline job fairs have been scheduled in Guangdong after the holiday, with an estimated participation of more than 100,000 employers offering approximately 2 million job positions, according to the Guangdong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security.

From Thursday to Friday, Guangdong's human resources departments will also organize 40 companies from Guangzhou, Foshan, Dongguan and Zhongshan to hold recruitment activities in Bijie and Liupanshui in Guizhou, promoting employment opportunities for more workers from the southwestern province.
