An exhibition titled Two Bombs and One Satellite opened on Monday at the birthplace of the Dongfanghong-1 satellite, a science park in Beijing's Haidian district.

More than 300 precious pictures and 108 exhibits showcase the profound connection between the Two Bombs and One Satellite project and Haidian district, telling the stories of the many people who contributed to the program.

The exhibition is divided into several areas. The Starting from Here section tells the story of the program's origin in the district, tracing the roots of Zhongguancun's innovative spirit.

Among the 23 technology experts who received the Two Bombs and One Satellite Merit Medal, 22 used to live in Haidian district.

The New Journey of Building Dreams section showcases the inheritance and development of the program in Haidian. This section also includes interactive science facilities to capture the attention of youngsters.

According to the Haidian government, the exhibition will integrate with the science park to create a research base in the spirit of the Two Bombs and One Satellite project. It will regularly carry out related events to tell the history of the program. Meanwhile, it will sow the seeds of love for the motherland and science in the hearts of more young people.
