The 24th China International Industry Fair (CIIF) will hold its five-day exhibition from Sept 24 in Shanghai to showcase the latest developments and achievements of Chinese manufacturing industry's high-quality development, said officials and expert.
Themed as "New Industrialization Advanced Productivity", this year's fair, consisting of nine themed professional exhibitions including industrial automation, smart energy, new energy and intelligent connected vehicles, robots, new material and technology innovations, will take up an exhibition area of 280,000 square meters.
"This year's CIIF will become an important stage for exchanging technology, information and ideas with some 2,600 exhibitors from 28 countries and regions," Rong Zhiqin, vice-chairman of Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, said at a news conference on Saturday.
"By exhibiting the latest achievements of new industrialization, the fair is tasked with promoting extensive cooperation between enterprises," Rong added.
"After more than 20 years of development, the CIIF has become an important international platform to showcase China's industry development by showcasing the latest technological products," said Li Yanxia, chief engineer of China Machinery Industry Federation.
"Nearly 1,000 new products and technologies will be displayed at the event, indicating the CIIF has become a world-class professional exhibition of industry," Li said.
"As one of the nation's industry exhibitions with a long history, the CIIF has witnessed China's manufacturing development from a follower to a contender with global peers side-by-side," said Li Dong, president of Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co Ltd.
"Since launched in 1999, the event has become the epitome of Shanghai's urban spirit and exhibition economy, an important window to show Chinese manufacturing transformation into high-end, intelligent and green, as well as an important platform to reflect the industrial structural upgrade and the development of new industrialization in the country," Li said.
