Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Sok Chenda Sophea expressed Cambodia's willingness to collaborate with China in innovative ways and enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges during the closing ceremony of the Chinese and Cambodian Cultures Encounter in Zhengzhou, Henan province.
He emphasized the longstanding friendship and frequent exchanges between the two nations.
During the closing ceremony, Cambodian Minister of Tourism Huot Hak and Wang Xudong, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Director of the Palace Museum, delivered speeches.
Governor of Henan province Wang Kai said that China and Cambodia are geographically close and culturally connected.
The Cambodia-China Year of Cultural and People-to-People Exchanges has significantly strengthened the friendly relations between the two countries, enhanced the friendship between the two peoples and made important contributions to building a high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future.
Provincial leaders Wang Zhanying, An Wei and Zhang Min were also present at the event, underscoring the importance of the cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
In addition, a series of cultural exchange activities were held, including an exhibition of traditional ancient clothing from China and Cambodia.
