Lushan Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Jiujiang, Jiangxi province, will waive entrance fees for all domestic and international tourists in March.

The cultural, broadcasting, and tourism development committee of Lushan, a county-level city in Jiujiang, said on Friday that the free admission period will run from March 1 to March 31, 2025.

According to the announcement, the waiver covers entrance tickets to attractions such as Lushan Scenic Area and Bailudong Academy, also known as White Deer Grotto Academy, one of ancient China's four great academies.

The waiver excludes additional purchases such as sightseeing vehicles and cable cars within the scenic area.

To enhance visitor experiences, ticket reservation limits and vehicle reservation quotas will be implemented.

Visitors must make advance online reservations with real-name registration before entering the area, while a limited number of self-driving vehicles will be allowed to enter the core area with pre-booked reservations required online.

Located in the northern part of Jiangxi province, Lushan Mountain offers a blend of natural beauty and historical significance.

It has earned prestigious accolades, including being recognized as one of the first World Heritage Cultural Landscape of China, a UNESCO Global Geopark and one of the top 10 famous mountains in China.
