The embassy of Zambia in China hosted a business and cultural exchange event in Beijing on Wednesday for Chinese business representatives.
The event was a platform for in-depth cooperation in investment, trade and culture, and included Zambian music and dance performances, as well as presentations of Chinese martial arts and traditional medicine.
At the opening, Zambian Ambassador Ivan Zyuulu delivered a warm speech, saying that the leaders of both countries have worked to promote the China-Zambia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, a demonstration of their strong and continuous cooperation.
He said that relations have made great progress in all areas. Through the Belt and Road Initiative and the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, China's outward direct investment has had a significant impact on Zambia's economic development.

Lordwell Kalubankwa, economic counselor at the embassy of Zambia in China, said in his speech that Zambia has plentiful natural and tourism resources, and world-famous natural wonders such as Victoria Falls.
In recent years, the Zambian government has actively improved the investment environment and introduced a series of preferential policies, which have attracted many international investors. At the same time, he said that Zambia attaches great importance to cooperation with China and hopes that through this event, both sides will strengthen cooperation on infrastructure construction, agricultural modernization and tourism to achieve mutual benefit.
Representatives of Chinese companies are already showing strong interest in investment projects in Zambia. Several company representatives said in their speeches that Zambia has huge market potential and is complementary to China's industrial structure.
