"Shanghai has been restlessly promoting the in-depth integration between real and digital economies in the past five years. Currently, the scale of the city's core industrial internet business has exceeded 180 billion yuan ($24.55 billion)," said Zhang Ying, director of the Shanghai Commission of Economy and Informatization during the innovation conference hosted by the Shanghai Industrial Internet Association on Friday.

Recognizing the significance of high-end manufacturing, Shanghai will actively drive artificial intelligence development, promote in-depth integration of industrial internet, large models and 5G and actively build the highland of industrial intelligence, Zhang said.
During the conference, the first batch of enterprises have been certified as industrial internet pioneers to cultivate and lead digital and intelligent transformation in key industries.

A new batch of AI-powered innovative labs are launched to constantly promote the integration and innovative application of various digital technologies in design and development, production and operation, testing and inspection, as well as organization and collaboration for intelligent innovation.
