China's visa-free policy boosts foreign travelers in Beijing

China's optimized visa-free policy and other measures aimed at enhancing international exchanges have led to an increasing number of foreign travelers arriving in Beijing.

As of March 17, nearly 940,000 foreign nationals have entered and exited Beijing's ports since the beginning of the year, with over 236,000 individuals benefiting from visa-free and 240-hour temporary entry policies, marking a more than twofold increase compared to the same period last year, according to data from the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection.

The majority of inbound foreign nationals come mainly for tourism, business and family visits, said the station. 

The statistics reveal that the year's total inbound and outbound passengers through Beijing's ports has surpassed 4 million as of March 17, representing a 23 percent increase from the same period last year.The Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection remains committed to facilitating a safe and efficient travel experience for domestic and international passengers by implementing a series of measures, such as providing a multilingual service center for foreign travelers.
