To support Zhejiang Boomingshing Medical Technology's resumption of work and production, staff members from the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company in Zhejiang province visited the company on Feb 28 to conduct electrical safety inspections and provide professional technical guidance.
At Zhejiang Boomingshing Medical Technology, the automated production line is running at high speed, with batches of precision medical consumables being orderly packaged. However, just four days ago, the company was anxious about the issue of expanding its electricity usage. As a medical equipment manufacturer, the company has extremely high requirements for electric power quality and supply reliability. Any fluctuations in power supply could not only affect production schedules but also seriously impact product quality.
With constantly changing production demands, the existing 6,000-kilowatt power supply capacity was no longer sufficient to meet the company's round-the-clock export production needs.
Zhang Xin, an employee of the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company, said: "In order to adapt to future development, the company communicated with us and informed us of their electricity needs."
On Feb 24, the power supply company took swift action, converting the existing 6,000-kw power source into a backup power source and adding a new 12,000-kw power line. This measure significantly improved the reliability of electricity usage, ensuring the stable operation of the company's production and fully meeting the current production needs.

Looking at the brand-new distribution room, Dong Guolong, the general manager of the company, said: "Originally, we planned to carry out power supply upgrades before the end of the year, but due to the tight production schedule and heavy workload at the end of the year, the company was unable to implement staggered production for power supply upgrades. After communicating with the power supply company, we rescheduled the upgrade for after the new year, coordinating it with our production schedule, which not only reduced losses for the company but also completely resolved our concerns."
As a key player in the local medical industry, since its start of production in January this year, Zhejiang Boomingshing Medical Technology has been actively operating in medical consumables, semiconductor packaging, and precision injection molding, with monthly electricity consumption exceeding 1 million kW.
In order to ensure the power supply and comprehensive capacity of the distribution network, and to implement the work deployment of higher-level units, the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company aims to achieve world-class level on some core indicators. By the end of 2027, the reliability of the power supply in Shangyu district in Shaoxing city will be further improved, with a comprehensive power supply reliability rate reaching 99.9985 percent and an average annual user outage time of around 0.13 hours.
In the future, the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company said it will continue to provide proactive services by conducting regular check-ups on enterprise power supply and usage equipment, providing advice based on the company's production electricity load, and tailoring electricity usage plans according to production scale, substation capacity and other parameters. This will help companies save energy and increase efficiency, build a solid electrical foundation for the new year's production and achieve a successful start to the first quarter.
