During the Spring Equinox, Qianxi village, Pancun town, Mingguang (county-level city), Chuzhou city, Anhui province, situated at the watershed of the Yangtze and Huaihe rivers, witnesses rows of photovoltaic panels glowing brilliantly against the backdrop of the blue sky and white clouds. These panels blend harmoniously with the surrounding houses and verdant mountains, creating a picturesque scene reminiscent of a golden autumn tableau. The local public welfare photovoltaic power station transforms sunlight into clean energy, generating a continuous stream of "sunshine revenue" for the village.

Qian Yunshan, secretary of the Party branch of Qianxi village, Pancun town, Mingguang (county-level city), Chuzhou city, informed this reporter that photovoltaic power generation represents a stable and continuous source of clean energy. It not only generates income for the village collective to foster economic development but also creates public welfare jobs to augment villagers' incomes, achieving multiple benefits with a single action. "The State Grid Chuzhou Electric Power Supply Company regularly provides services for photovoltaic public welfare power stations, effectively ensuring optimal power generation from photovoltaic panels and safeguarding the 'sunshine income' of the villagers," Qian Yunshan said.
To guarantee the stable operation of the public welfare photovoltaic power station, the State Grid Chuzhou Electric Power Supply Company organizes its employees to regularly clean the photovoltaic panels and inspect potential hazards in the wiring, thereby ensuring the smooth functioning of the photovoltaic power generation equipment and sufficient power generation.

"We assure the villagers of synchronous operation of the supporting power grid, full consumption of photovoltaic power generation, monthly settlement of on-grid electricity bills, and prompt transfer of renewable energy subsidies. We are committed to fulfilling our promises through actions, striving to safeguard the 'sunshine income' of the villagers," said Gu Xianbing, deputy director of Pancun Power Supply Station of the State Grid Chuzhou Power Supply Company.
Currently, in Chuzhou city, 404 public welfare power stations of this kind have been constructed, boasting a total installed capacity of about 46,000 kW. These stations generate an average of 50 million kWh of electricity annually and yield an annual income of 19 million yuan. All of these "sunshine revenues" are dedicated to maintaining local public infrastructure, creating public welfare jobs at the village level, and providing charitable assistance, among other things.
