The Global ESG Leadership Association (GELA) , dedicated to building a diverse ecosystem in sustainability and mobilizing global youth to drive sustainable innovation, announced that the 2025 Global Sustainability Youth Leaders "30 Under 30 & 25 Under 25" Selection has officially started.
Open to exceptional youths under the age of 30 ("30 Under 30") and 25 ("25 Under 25"), the global selection targets candidates who demonstrate leadership, innovation and long-term impact in various subfields of sustainable development, including academic research, entrepreneurship and social impact initiatives.
Hosted by GELA and co-organized by the Columbia University Global ESG Leadership Association, the University of Pennsylvania Global ESG Leadership Association, and the New York University Global ESG Leadership Association, the event covers enterprises or projects that have directly benefited over 1,000 individuals and gained public recognition through social media, events or other platforms.
On April 13, GELA will host the Global Sustainability Visionaries Summit at Columbia University's Low Memorial Library (Rotunda), also featuring the annual award ceremony for the "30 Under 30 & 25 Under 25" honorees.

A grand networking dinner and cocktail reception will be hosted at Low Memorial Library with distinguished guests from around the world gathered to exchange ideas over fine music and exquisite cuisine, fostering global connections for a sustainable future.
GELA said the selection committee includes world-class experts in sustainable development, technological innovation, investment, finance and media influence.
Honorees will join GELA's global youth leadership network, participate in international forums, and collaborate with top young leaders worldwide.
By celebrating these young pioneers, GELA said it hopes to inspire more youths to actively participate in global sustainable development efforts and contribute to the future of human civilization.
The "30 Under 30 & 25 Under 25" initiative, a flagship project launched by GELA to create a platform for young leaders worldwide, aims to recognize young leaders who have made outstanding contributions to the field of sustainable development, including artificial intelligence, space exploration, clean energy, carbon technology, cultural arts and international collaboration.
GELA said the selection has won strategic support from MeiXun iMpact.
