CAIRO -- At least 10 people were killed and three others injured on Monday in a building collapse in Egypt's Giza Province, local media reported.
Reports said an explosion occurred on the second floor of a three-story building in the Kerdasa area near the Giza Pyramids.
The injured have been transferred to nearby hospitals. According to reports, civil protection forces put out the fire caused by the explosion and evacuated two adjacent buildings to clean up the debris.
Preliminary investigations revealed that a gas leak could have caused the explosion.
