Shanghai's first intelligent mobile facility for photovoltaic storage and charging became operational on Feb 6 in the city's Xuhui district, according to the State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Co.
The station has integrated photovoltaic power generation, charging and storage, offering a high-efficiency energy utilization mode in line with the low carbon and green transportation trend.
Situated on Sanhui Road, the station is equipped with two building integrated photovoltaic, one intelligent and mobile vehicle for energy storage and charging, as well as 22 charging piles. Under control of a unified management system, the station can provide charging service to 23 new energy vehicles at the same time.
"Operation data showed that the photovoltaic power can either be consumed by electric vehicle charging, or get stored in the intelligent mobile vehicle, basically making all the power get fully used," said Tang Xiao, a personnel of the marketing department of the State Grid Shanghai.
