Recently, with the successful third impact on the 220-kilovolt Bonan Line, the 220-kilovolt Xinhua Bole South Collector Station in Bortala, in the Mongolian autonomous prefecture of Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region was successfully powered on, marking that the supporting projects for the 100,000-kilowatt heat storage concentrating solar power project with 900,000-kilowatt new energy projects in the Bortala Mongolian autonomous prefecture are ready for grid-connected power generation.
This project is among the second batch of market-oriented grid-connected new energy projects in the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region in 2022, with a total installed capacity of 1 million kilowatts. The collector station started construction in September 2023, adding 1 interval for 220-kilovolt and 1 220-kilovolt transmission line. During this operation, 1 booster collector station and 300,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power were put into use.
The State Grid Bortala Power Supply Company has established a new energy grid-connected service team to provide full-cycle "one-stop" grid-connected services for new energy power stations. Taking the initiative to communicate with new energy enterprises, coordinating and solving the key issues affecting grid connection, improving the quality of grid connection, and helping to accelerate the grid connection work of new energy projects.
In recent years, the Bortala Mongolian autonomous prefecture has been aiming at the "dual carbon" goals. Based on the advantageous endowment of wind and solar resources, it has strengthened the development and utilization of clean energy and made the energy industry bigger and stronger, injecting green impetus into the high-quality development of the local economy and society.
With the connection of 300,000 kilowatts of photovoltaic power, the installed capacity of new energy in the power grid of the Bortala Mongolian autonomous prefecture has reached 2.374 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 86 percent of the total installed capacity of power sources. This is of great significance for promoting the transformation and development of energy and facilitating the consumption of new energy. It has effectively enhanced the peak power supply capacity of the Bortala Mongolian autonomous prefecture power grid during the evening peak period and provided strong support for the realization of the "dual carbon" goals.
