On Dec 13, at the 2024 Outstanding Management Innovation and QC Team Activity Achievements Release and Experience Exchange Conference held by State Grid Ningxia Electric Power, after fierce competition and on-site evaluations, three QC achievements of State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company stood out from the 32 shortlisted outstanding QC achievements and achieved excellent results. Among them, the "Research and Development of the Three-Dimensional Intelligent Digital Protection System for Transmission Corridors" won the first prize, as well as awards for two achievements, namely "Shortening the Snow Removal Time for Operating Insulators in 110-kV Substations" and "Shortening the Duration of Information Management for the Verification of Medium-Voltage Instrument Transformers," both won the third prize.
The achievement of "Research and Development of the Three-Dimensional Intelligent Digital Protection System for Transmission Corridors" focuses on the governance of hidden dangers of external damage to transmission corridors. It innovatively constructs a three-dimensional protection network and a multi-dimensional monitoring system for overhead lines that cover high-altitude monitoring and ground cable warnings, which can monitor and protect transmission corridors more accurately and comprehensively, providing a solid guarantee for the safe and stable operation of transmission corridors. During the early stage of the project, members of the QC team made meticulous preparations, repeatedly refined and improved the innovative achievements, striving for perfection. Eventually, they performed excellently at the achievement release conference, completed the achievement release and defense successfully, and finally won the first prize.
The innovation points of the achievement "Shortening the Snow Removal Time for Operating Insulators in 110-kV Substations" lie in adopting the principle of airflow acceleration and video monitoring technology, expanding the single clearance range and shortening the monitoring distance, which improves the snow removal efficiency and ensures the quality of snow removal . The achievement of the "Dream Chasers" QC Team from the Marketing Service Center (Measurement Center), namely "Shortening the Duration of Information Management for the Verification of Medium-Voltage Instrument Transformers", combines service robots and backpack lift robots to realize functions such as automatically and batch identifying instrument transformer information and user information, and remotely checking approval certificates. It has solved the pain points in work such as the high error rate and longtime consumption in manual information management, improved the efficiency of the whole process of instrument transformer verification, shortened the cycle of users sending instruments for inspection, and helped users supply power as soon as possible. The above two achievements are close to the actual situation, with clear ideas, detailed data and complete steps. They fully demonstrate the employees' innovative awareness and reflect the characteristics of QC achievements, which are "lively, small-scale, practical and innovative".
