The Hebian Street community in Yangquan, Shanxi province, held a paper-cutting activity on Thursday to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.
Dong Shufang, a city-level inheritor of intangible cultural heritage, created exquisite paper-cuts with a group of enthusiasts. Their works centered around Macao as a theme.
"The paper-cuts also incorporated peony elements symbolizing unity and prosperity," said Dong. "We hope to express our deep patriotic feelings via paper-cutting."
