Parkway Shanghai, the operating entity of IHH Healthcare, one of the world's largest private healthcare services networks, on the Chinese mainland, announced to launch its new flagship ambulatory care center in downtown Shanghai in 2025.
The announcement was made during a ceremony held on Wednesday celebrating Parkway Shanghai's 20th anniversary since entering the China market.
Spanning nearly 7,000 square meters, the upcoming state-of-the-art care center will offer multi-specialty healthcare services tailored to meet diverse patient needs, with key specialties in internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology and pediatrics.
Designed to prioritize privacy and comfort, the new center will feature single observation rooms that foster a reassuring environment for diagnosis and treatment. It will be resourced with advanced surgical equipment, and a multilingual, multi-disciplinary medical team to ensure seamless interaction and personalized care for both local and international patients.
As one of Shanghai's earliest and largest foreign healthcare providers, Parkway Shanghai has gradually grown into a comprehensive healthcare services network comprising hospitals, medical centers and specialist clinics.
In 2023, with an investment of 1.61 billion yuan ($222 million), Parkway Shanghai Hospital, which spans 84,400 sq m, was opened. The hospital was recognized as a "pilot demonstration base for international medical tourism" in the same year, as Shanghai's attempts for international medical tourism was quickly gathering pace.
Parkway Shanghai also unveiled its new brand positioning "Precision Care, Warmly Delivered" at the ceremony, setting the stage for its next phase of growth with commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare experience alongside enhanced services that cater to evolving patient needs.
