Shanghai's Putuo district hosted an investment promotion event at the 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Nov 7, highlighting the district's investment and development prospects to companies from across the globe.
The event served as a platform to exhibit the district's potential to exhibiting companies and celebrated the successful implementation of eight major foreign-funded investment projects that were previously signed. Putuo district, known for its strategic location as an important transportation hub linking Shanghai with neighboring cities in the Yangtze River Delta, is attracting investments across various sectors including new energy, high-end manufacturing, and commercial trade.
Zhuang Mudi, the deputy secretary-general of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, lauded the rapid development of the district in recent years. He encouraged entrepreneurs to leverage the district's robust international investment ecosystem and abundant scientific and technological innovation resources for mutual benefit.
Moreover, the event also marked the release of a white paper detailing the foreign investment ecosystem of Putuo district in 2024. The white paper highlighted key aspects such as the district's industrial structure, business environment, and quality of living conditions, emphasizing the district's commitment to fostering a conducive environment for foreign investors.
