A joint investigation team in Xincai county, Central China's Henan province, has released its findings regarding the death of a seventh-grade student at Jinshi Qinghuayuan School.

The student, a 13-year-old boy identified as Zhu, was discovered dead in his dormitory around 6 am on Thursday.

Following the boy's death, local authorities formed a comprehensive multi-departmental investigation team to thoroughly examine the circumstances. The team conducted interviews with Zhu's classmates, teachers relatives and others who had interacted with him. A detailed forensic examination was also carried out to ascertain the cause of his death, while Zhu's academic and personal life were reviewed. The results of the investigation were communicated to Zhu's family.

The investigation found that Zhu had not been involved in any disputes or conflicts at school, and no unusual behavior was noted on the day preceding his death. A medical examination found no external injuries, eliminating the possibility of physical assault. Toxicology tests ruled out poisoning as a cause of death.

The final medical assessment determined that Zhu died from a cardiac condition. A puncture mark on his left chest was attributed to a forensic procedure for blood collection for toxicological testing, while red fluid observed at the corner of his mouth was identified as bodily fluid that had leaked during the examination process.

Authorities have urged the public to respect the facts and the law, as well as the privacy of the deceased and his family. They also urged netizens to refrain from spreading rumors or misinformation online, and to contribute to a respectful and healthy online environment.
