Gao Longyou, 39, has become a social media sensation for his videos showing his daily life as a food delivery rider. Gao lost both legs at age 12 when they were hit by a train.
"My body may be imperfect, but my spirit remains whole," Gao says in a video posted to the social media platform Douyin. The clips show him trying different kinds of work and finding ways to get the job done. His account has about 70,000 followers, and his most popular video has over 148,000 likes.
In one post, he makes deliveries on a skateboard and uses his hands to climb stairs. The caption reads, "This is my proof of love for life."
Viewers were moved by his determination. "Seeing you makes my problems feel insignificant. I truly admire you," one commenter wrote.
