China, US are not engaged in consultation or negotiation on tariffs: FM spokesperson

BEIJING -- There has been no phone conversation between the heads of state of China and the United States recently, and the two sides have not held consultations or negotiations on tariffs, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Monday.
