Vivo has launched its latest mid-range smartphone to target consumers who prefer large batteries and flash charging technologies, as the company works to differentiate its product amid intensified competition.
The move came after Vivo secured its position as the largest smartphone vendor by shipments in China last year.
The brand-new Y300 Pro+ packs a gigantic 7,300mAh battery into a sleek chassis that is just 0.31 inches thin, Vivo said.
Data from the market research company Counterpoint showed that Vivo accounted for 17.8 percent of China's smartphone market by shipments in 2024, followed by Huawei, Xiaomi, Apple, Honor and Oppo in order.
