At this critical period of spring plowing and irrigation, on March 27, staff members from the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company in Zhejiang province went deep into the fields to conduct special inspections and maintenance on the agricultural power lines to ensure power safety for spring farming.
In the farmland of Zhanhuan Lake village in Xietang town, busy spring plowing is taking place.
Accompanied by loud roars, two tractors were tilling the land. The workers of the State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company conducted thorough inspections of the power lines, transformers, and leakage protection devices in the area and then eliminated the safety hazards.
"We have established a special team for spring farming power supply. They carried out special inspections on agricultural irrigation lines, opened green power supply channels, and collaborated with village committees to promote safe electricity use. After talking with major grain growers in the village to learn their needs, we tried to ensure worry-free electricity supply for spring farming production," said a staff member from the company.

Zhu Jianxu, a grain grower in Zhanhuan Lake village, has years of farming experience and plans to expand the area for early rice cultivation from 18 to 21.3 hectares this year, along with increasing agricultural equipment accordingly. He said that the smooth progress of his agricultural production is inseparable from the support of the power supply department. "In recent years, the power company has added many agricultural irrigation boxes for us, each field has one, making irrigation in the fields very convenient. Whenever we have electricity-related issues, we just make a phone call, and they immediately come to help us solve them, which is great."
In recent years, with the advancement of the rural vitalization, the demand for agricultural electricity has been increasing. The State Grid Shaoxing Power Supply Company has responded by optimizing the layout of power lines, increasing transformer capacity, and other measures to meet the electricity needs for agricultural production, providing solid power support for increased production and income for farmers, injecting driving forces into rural vitalization.
