"It takes only 34 hours and 57 minutes for the flowers to arrive in Beijing by rail, while deliveries to Urumqi have been shortened to 38 hours and 54 minutes," said Li Kaiting, a business representative at the Dounan division of the China Railway Express.

"A customer in Urumqi can place an order at midnight and receive fresh flowers with Kunming's morning dew by the third morning," said Li.

In addition, the China-Laos Railway international cold chain freight train currently operates on a regular basis. "Yunnan flowers will reach the world faster and more intelligently from Dounan,"Li added.
