Based on local AI monitoring data, the number of migratory birds wintering at Shuanggui Lake surged from just over 2,000 in 2019 to more than 10,000 last year. The park's avian biodiversity experienced remarkable growth, with the recorded species count expanding from 137 in 2018 to now exceeding 200.

Since 2019, the Chongqing Liangping Wetland Conservation Center has developed an advanced AI-driven bird monitoring platform. This system features 11 ultra-high-definition optical zoom cameras and is supported by powerful computational infrastructure, enabling it to analyze up to 30 real-time images per second. By comparing these images with a database containing information on over 2,000 bird species, the platform achieves an impressive 99 percent accuracy rate in bird species identification.

Yu Xianhuai, a senior engineer at the center, has dedicated six years to wetland protection at the park. He conducts extensive daily patrols and is passionate about bird photography, capturing various bird species and documenting the park's changes over time.

In recent years, Liangping has implemented over 20 ecological restoration projects, which include wetland rehabilitation, ecological migration programs, the establishment of micro-wetland clusters around the lake and aquatic vegetation cultivation. These efforts have helped achieve excellent water quality (Grade III) and greatly enriched the region's biodiversity.
