Hainan has initiated a global recruitment campaign for Hainan International Tourism Promotion Ambassadors with cross-cultural communication abilities, who are welcome to sign up from now until Sept 30.
Selected candidates will be invited to the island province to participate in themed cultural tours at no charge and promote Hainan's tourism and cultural resources through overseas social media platforms. Other perks, such as cash awards and exclusive cultural experiences, are also available.
This initiative aims to enhance the international promotion of Hainan's image as a popular travel destination by telling its story through the eyes of travelers from around the world, accelerating the tropical island's development as an international tourism consumer center.
Hainan is becoming a popular "pick-up-and-go" destination for international travelers thanks to its convenient visa-free policies and the island's expanding network of international flight routes.
Hainan's visa-free policy welcomes travelers from 59 countries and has been expanded to cover more reasons for travel, including vacations, business, visiting family, participating in events, and more. Coupled with the 240-hour visa-free transit policy, taking an in-depth island tour is easy and convenient.
With 70 international flight routes connecting to 40 cities across Asia, Europe, and Australia, including Moscow and Sydney, Hainan has established a 'golden flight network'. In 2024, Hainan welcomed 1.11 million international travelers, marking a year-on-year increase of over 100 percent and boosting international appeal.
In recent years, Hainan has strengthened global promotion by bringing Hainan to the world and inviting the world to Hainan. In 2025, Hainan will hold over 10 overseas promotion events and send over 20 professional teams to bring the wonders of the island province to key travel and tourism source markets. Hainan has also invited international travel agencies and the media to visit the island and has launched an "Overseas Travel Agency Partner Exchange Program".
Additionally, Hainan has deepened its presence in the Hong Kong and Macao SAR markets by forming marketing alliances with local tourism and aviation institutions, increasing flight frequencies on the "Hainan-Hong Kong Express", and working with Hong Kong and Macao to attract global travelers.
Special promotion events targeting expats living in China have also been conducted. Hainan also plans to open 29 tourism promotion offices worldwide in 18 countries and regions to conduct regular market development.
