Lenzing, a global leader in sustainable textile solutions, has made an impressive showcase at the 2025 Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics - Spring & Summer edition by introducing a range of five innovative products tailored to meet the growing demand for eco-friendly and advanced raw materials in the Chinese market.
The event, which took place at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai from March 11 to 13, served as a crucial platform for industry players to showcase their latest offerings and foster collaborations in the sustainable and high-tech textile sectors.

Florian Heubrandner, the executive vice-president of Lenzing's Commercial Textile division, highlighted the company's commitment to technological progress, sustainability and versatile applications through the unveiling of these key products.
"The five innovative products bring significant technological advancements, sustainability benefits and diverse applications to the textile ingredient market, catering specifically to the mid-to-high-end segment for premium and sustainable products," Heubrandner said.
Among the standout products revealed were two cross-linked fibers engineered to effectively combat fibrillation, thereby enhancing fabric strength, spinning efficiency and overall aesthetics with improved luster, color vibrancy and softness. Additionally, a fine 0.9-dtex fiber showcased its capability to be transformed into ultra-fine yarns ideal for crafting lightweight, luxuriously soft knitted and woven fabrics.

In alignment with its sustainability goals, Lenzing also introduced a fiber sourced from wood originating from controlled and certified forests, employing a production process that slashes water and carbon emissions by an impressive 50 percent. Another highlighted fiber utilized dope-dyeing technology, eliminating the need for downstream dyeing processes, reducing operational costs, and ensuring exceptional color retention.
Reflecting on Lenzing's enduring presence in the Chinese market, Hu Yanjun, senior commercial director of Lenzing's Textile China, said, "Over the past two decades since Lenzing Group entered the Chinese market, we have witnessed a significant evolution in China's textile industry — from the basic functional requirements of materials to the heightened demand for advanced, eco-friendly and innovative raw materials."
