China's Assistant Foreign Minister Miao Deyu expressed his appreciation to Peruvian Ambassador to China Marco V. Balarezo for his contributions on the development of China-Peru relationship as Miao met with the outgoing envoy in Beijing on Monday.
Miao told Balarezo that China highly values its bilateral ties with the Latin American country.
China is willing to work with Peru to jointly implement the key consensuses reached by the two countries' heads of state and to continuously advance the China-Peru comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights, he said.
Balarezo, who arrived in China in 2023 as the Peruvian top envoy, spoke highly of China's achievements in its modernization drive, adding that his country considers its relationship with China as one of its most important bilateral relationships with foreign countries.
Balarezo expressed pride in serving as the Peruvian ambassador to China, saying that he will be committed to continuing efforts to deepen Peru-China friendship and contribute to the development of bilateral ties after returning to his country.
