On Jan 15, the entire village of Jinchuan district, Longyuan, Jinchang city, launched and commenced operation of the first phase of an 18 MW distributed project, marking the successful grid connection of the first 35 kV voltage level distributed power supply project in Jinchang.
It is reported that Longyuan (Jinchang) New Energy Co Ltd has constructed a new 35 kV Longyuan Jinchang distributed photovoltaic power station, situated in Dongwan village, Ningyuanbao town, Jinchuan district, Jinchang city.
The project boasts an installed capacity of 18 MW and adopts a full grid-connected approach. In this phase, the newly built 35 kV Longyuan Jinchang distributed photovoltaic power station features a single busbar connection on the 35 kV side. The power generation units are linked to the 35 kV side of the station via three 35 kV lines, ultimately connecting to the 110 kV Ningyuanbao substation through a single 35 kV line.
This project utilizes farmers' rooftops and vacant plots to establish photovoltaic power stations, aiming to alleviate imbalances in power output during peak and off-peak periods in the region, enhance the stability of the power grid, and foster rural revitalization and development. It is estimated that, upon grid connection, the average annual utilization hours will be 1,668 hours, with an average annual on-grid energy of 31.3 million kilowatt-hours.
To ensure the smooth grid connection of the project, the State Grid Jinchang Power Supply Company organized a professional service team to continuously monitor the construction progress of the power station. They actively engaged with the government, provincial companies, and the project owners, conducting advance publicity and implementation of the grid connection process for the distributed power project.
The team refined their work content, promptly reminded the owners to begin organizing the work data for this stage and the business matters for the next stage, clarified specific requirements for grid connection, acceptance, commissioning, and operation, and ensured strict control over the grid connection technology and safety of the distributed power project.
They also coordinated to resolve any issues that arose during the grid connection process. Meanwhile, despite adverse effects such as severe cold weather, the company persevered and successfully completed the construction, expansion, and commissioning of the public network side on schedule, ensuring the smooth start and operation of the project.
In recent years, the company has fully implemented the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for the development of new energy. It has conscientiously carried out the pilot program of the National Energy Administration to promote distributed photovoltaics across entire counties, actively engaged with relevant local government departments, conducted advance analysis of grid carrying capacity and access capacity calculations, accelerated the construction of distribution networks, reasonably arranged access points for distributed power sources, and orderly facilitated grid-connected power generation for distributed projects.
This ensures the safe and stable operation of the grid and the absorption of new energy. With a strong sense of political responsibility, the company fulfills its mission as a power grid enterprise, contributing to rural revitalization and the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.
In 2025, with the commencement of major projects such as the construction of Lanzhou-Zhangjiakou third and fourth lines, the optimization and adjustment of the 110 kV grid, and the reinforcement of the 750 kV main grid, Jinchang Power Grid will enter a peak period of transformation and development, facing significant challenges in terms of security and stability. The company will consistently position itself as the "general hub" of the northwest power grid, the "main channel" for power transmission from the west to the east, and a "key base" supporting the construction of a new power system. Adhering to the main line of work, the company will serve the overall situation, consistently uphold the "five insistence", fully leverage Jinchang's policy advantages, energy advantages, and geographical advantages, and strive to be a leader, promoter, and pioneer in carbon reduction and green expansion. The company aims to expedite the transformation of its energy advantages into economic, industrial, and developmental advantages, unwaveringly pursuing the path of Chinese-style modern power development.
