Shanghai Disney Resort completed the installation of the final primary steel beam for its third themed hotel on Wednesday, marking the completion of the initial construction phase for the nine-floor, 400-room hotel.
Inspired by Shanghai's unique architectural style from the early 20th century, the new hotel will feature an Art Nouveau design style while incorporating Disney's principle of blending authentically Disney and distinctly Chinese elements.
Located just a short walk from Shanghai Disneyland Hotel, the new hotel will join Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, expanding accommodations at the resort.
It also aims to provide guests with an immersive themed accommodation experience with both indoor and outdoor recreational amenities and programming infused with Disney storytelling for those planning for a multiday stay at the resort.
Since opening in 2016, Shanghai Disney Resort has continually expanded with new lands like Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land and Zootopia added to the Shanghai Disneyland theme park.
The resort's current expansion projects also include a new Spider-Man-themed coaster, which will be the first major Marvel attraction at Shanghai Disneyland and has begun the initial construction preparation work earlier in 2024.
