Tourists spend more than 200b yuan in Hainan last year

Hainan's tourism industry is projected to receive 97.2 million tourists in 2024, an increase of 8 percent year-on-year, data from the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Film and Sports shows. This includes more than 1 million inbound tourists, an increase of more than 100 percent on a yearly basis. In 2024, tourists spent 204 billion yuan ($27.84 billion) in total in the province, up 12.5 percent year-on-year.
