A delegation of officials from Colombia, Ecuador and Peru visited Southwest China's Chongqing municipality from Dec 4 to 9. It explored local initiatives and achievements in poverty alleviation, rural revitalization and industrial growth.
On Friday, the delegation toured the Jialingqiao Xicun community in the city's Yuzhong district to learn about community grassroots Party-building practices. These practices enhance community governance and support local urban renewal efforts.

"I saw the significant impact of the Communist Party of China at the grassroots level during this visit to the community. Under the leadership of the Party branches, community residents are able to achieve autonomy and effectively resolve internal conflicts," said Roberto Sánchez, chairman of the Union for Peru Party.
"China has excelled in overcoming challenges and serves as a valuable model for Latin American nations," said Sánchez, adding that Latin American countries are characterized by numerous political parties often embroiled in internal conflicts. On the other hand, China's political consultative system, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, exemplifies the adept involvement of democratic parties in political consultations.

Earlier in the day, the delegation visited the Chongqing Chang'an Global R&D Center in the city's Liangjiang New Area to learn about the development of intelligent connected new energy vehicles and the company's exports to the South American market.
"In recent years, Chinese automotive brands like Chang'an Automobile have increased their brand influence and product appeal in Ecuador," said Nicole Saca, a member of the Ecuadorian parliament. "Ecuador could learn from China's strategies in advancing NEVs and foster collaboration between the two nations in this sector."
During their stay in Chongqing, the delegation also visited the Chongqing Planning Exhibition Gallery, the Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology and Mountain City Alley.
