Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD opened a new sales and service center in a suburb of London on Saturday, marking the latest step in its expansion in the United Kingdom.
Located near the Lakeside Shopping Centre, on the eastern edge of Greater London, the new BYD store features popular models, including Seal, Dolphin, Atto 3, and the newly launched SEAL U DM-i.
The facility offers test drives, sales, and after-sale services.

The new branch is a collaboration between BYD and automobile dealership company Harmony Auto, which have already partnered in a newly opened BYD branch in Canary Wharf, London's financial hub.
Benny Li, head of retailer marketing at BYD UK, said at the opening ceremony: "The opening of this new store is not only a milestone in our market expansion but also a significant step toward making green mobility more accessible."
Geetan Jessen, general manager of Harmony BYD UK, said: "As a long-term partner, we believe that the opening of the Lakeside store will not only offer more UK consumers the chance to choose green transportation but will also further solidify BYD's leadership position in the global new-energy market."

Harmony Auto plans to expand BYD's sales network across the UK, with new stores expected to open by the end of the year in cities including Bristol and Cambridge, and in East London's Romford.
Founded in China in 1995 as a rechargeable battery maker, BYD has branched out during the past three decades into automobiles, rail transit, and electronics. To date, its new-energy vehicles have entered markets in more than 90 countries and regions.
