China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), the country's top offshore oil and gas driller, vows to fully utilize the high-quality platform provided by the China International Import Expo (CIIE) to achieve mutual benefit and win-win development through higher-level cooperation.

The company aims to further deepen cooperation with partners from around the world and jointly inject more vitality into the stable, healthy, and sustainable development of the energy industry, said Wang Jianbo, vice-president of CNOOC.

He made the remarks during the CIIE Goes to CNOOC event held in Tianjin on Wednesday, an event jointly held with the China International Import Expo Bureau, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

This event is the first in the "CIIE Goes to Central SOEs" series, aiming to build a new platform and create new business opportunities for practical cooperation in the economic and trade fields between CIIE exhibitors and central State-owned enterprises (SOEs). It supports China’s further efforts to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern through high-level opening-up.

The "CIIE Goes to Central SOEs" series was launched by the China International Import Expo Bureau to provide platforms and resources for practical cooperation between CIIE exhibitors and central SOEs in the economic and trade fields, eyeing to turn China's large market into a significant opportunity for the world, allowing foreign investors to share in the dividends of China's high-quality development.

As the inaugural event of the series, this event focused on the practical needs of CNOOC in advancing the digitalization, intelligence, and greening of offshore oil and gas development. It invited 24 exhibitors from the CIIE’s technical equipment and service trade sections, including 16 Fortune 500 companies and industry-leading enterprises. Through thematic exchanges, negotiations, and on-site inspections, the event aimed to strategize and cultivate new momentum for high-quality development.

We hope that through this event, we can strengthen the cooperative ties between exhibitors and CNOOC, helping CNOOC accelerate the development of new production capacities and fully promote high-quality development in the offshore oil and gas industry to a new level, said Wu Zhengping, deputy director-general of the China International Import Expo Bureau.
