MANILA -- A Chinese national drowned during scuba diving on Thursday in the waters off Mabini town in Batangas province, south of Manila, the Chinese embassy in the Philippines said on Friday.
The Chinese national and friends were diving when the accident happened, local police said in a report on Friday.
