China's State Grid grabbed third place on the list of Fortune Global 500 companies, becoming one of the three Chinese companies on the top 10 list, according to the official website of Fortune.

Walmart remained No 1 for the 10th consecutive year, while Saudi Aramco, which grew its revenues by 51 percent, claimed the No 2 spot, up from No 6 last year.

China National Petroleum and Sinopec Group took the fifth and sixth positions on the list this year.
