China ice and snow tourism promotion season kicks off in Singapore

The 2023 China Ice and Snow Tourism Overseas Promotion Season was launched at the China Cultural Center in Singapore on Jan 8.

Qin Wen, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, Zhou Zheng, deputy director of the China Tourism Office in Singapore and more than 250 Singaporean local travel agents, airlines, and media reporters attended the event.

Zhou said China is rich in ice and snow tourism resources, mature ice and snow tourism products, complete tourism infrastructure and high-quality tourism services.

He hopes local people living in the tropics can go to northern China to enjoy the beauty of ice and snow in winter and experience the frosty products.

Qin Yan, director of the Culture and Tourism Department of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, addressed the event in a video speech.

"Inner Mongolia autonomous region and Singapore have a good cooperative relationship in the field of cultural tourism, and have successfully carried out a series of cultural tourism exchange activities in recent years. We hope that more tourists from Singapore will have a good time in Inner Mongolia during the winter," she said.

A photo exhibition, Discovering the Beauty of China's Ice and Snow, was also held at the event, allowing local people to enjoy the beautiful scenery of northern China covered in snow.

At the same time, more than 30 series and over 400 ice and snow characteristic cultural and tourism digital products have been launched online.
