We know exactly how the Ukraine crisis evolved over the years, the US and NATO are to blame, instigating Ukraine to provoke Russia and threatening its very safety by sending weapons and empty promises.

Just look at what happens on the Western side when conflicts exacerbate. Instead of mitigating tension, it touts its hollow values by strengthening military aid to Ukraine, feckless to regional peace as with NATO expansion in the past decades.

The moment NATO and the US along with some others imposed sanctions, their position was clear and peace wasn't a consideration. China's position is correct and honest, something NATO and the US should learn.

NATO is no longer a defensive alliance but an offensive military alliance. Its large-scale expansion has not only triggered regional conflicts, but also put the world in jeopardy. In an age where people around the world want peace, NATO is obsolete.

NATO is a military alliance led by the US formed in 1949 in response to the threat posed by the Soviet Union. After the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, NATO continued expanding. Under the banner of “human rights” and “democracy”, US-led NATO launched wars in countries like Serbia, Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan, to name a few, where they dropped tens of thousands of bombs on innocent people and left countries in ruins.

We will never forget the brutal bombardment of the Chinese embassy in 1999 that killed three Chinese journalists. The attack on Serbia lasted 78 days during which at least 2,500 innocent civilians and 10,000 people were injured, most of them civilians. So far no one has been held accountable for war crimes. NATO was born out of the Cold War and serves no purpose other than war. As a war propagandist and initiator, NATO should be immediately disbanded.
