The 11th ThinkYouth exhibition of outstanding cultural and creative works by Shanghai college students opened at the Bebing Art Museum in Pudong New Area on Wednesday, featuring works from nearly 100 universities across nine categories. A key highlight was the listing of the lip-teeth-voice motion capture database on the Shanghai Data Exchange, showcasing industry-education integration.
Launched in March, the ThinkYouth program commissioned over 10 institutions — including Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Tongji University — to manage works spanning more than 10 sub-disciplines such as environmental design, digital media art, animation, theater and dance, music, and product design. The event attracted thousands of college participants globally.

Selected top original fashion design entries will make their debut on the Paris fashion stage this autumn.
Ding Jiangting, deputy general manager of the market development department at the Shanghai Data Exchange, highlighted that the lip-teeth-voice motion capture database, co-developed by Shanghai Film Art Academy and Chingmu techonology, merges performing arts with data technology into a tradable asset. The exchange aims to link the product with various industries to foster collaborative advancements in performing arts and AI.

Wang Ya, head of the performing arts center at the Shanghai Film Art Academy, explained that the project originated from practical teaching needs. Faculty and students engaged in the entire data collection and annotation process, enhancing classroom training and extending the reach of performance majors to various language-related industries, including digital human production, animation dubbing, and speech rehabilitation.
She further noted that a similar dance motion database developed by the academy was acquired by a government department, exemplifying the synergy between education and industry transformation.

Li Yazhou, a full-time lecturer on the same program, disclosed that the team will further expand its art database portfolio to cover digital performance, emotional expression, and vocal melody categories. New database projects are expected to be listed on the Shanghai Data Exchange as early as next year.
The exhibition is open to the public from June 17 to 21.
