China's second domestically made cruise ship, Adora Flora City, began a 12-day sea trial on Saturday, according to the State-owned Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co.
An engineering and technical team comprising 937 professionals from 12 countries are aboard for the trial voyage, with plans to conduct 149 tests on key performance indicators.

In comparison with Adora Magic City, China's first domestically built cruise ship, Adora Flora City has undergone comprehensive upgrades in spatial design, intelligent technology and cruise experience.
The 141,900-gross-tonnage ship measures 341 meters in length, 17.4 meters longer than Adora Magic City, and has 2,130 cabins, which can accommodate up to 5,232 guests.

The sea trial is tasked to comprehensively verify the vessel's quality and reliability ahead of its November 6 delivery to Guangzhou, Guangdong province, for its inaugural voyage season.
