Shanghai-based robotics company Jaka Robotics inaugurated a new site in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, in Japan on Friday, strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific market.
The site, spanning about 2,000 square meters in its first phase, will focus on intelligent robotics applications, automated solution development, and technical services, according to the company.
"We will leverage the technological innovation capabilities of the Toyohashi base to continuously provide intelligent solutions that better meet local customer needs," said Li Mingyang, chairman of Jaka Robotics, emphasizing Japan's position as a global robotics innovation hub.

Since establishing Jaka Robotics Japan Co Ltd in Nagoya, the company has formed cooperation with industrial giants including Toyota. Its robotic solutions are now integrated into multiple key automotive manufacturing processes.
The new Toyohashi site will complement the company's Nagoya operations through several initiatives, including establishing a robotics technology application center focusing on new technologies including developing scenario-driven application hub for robotics technologies, creating a solution verification platform and systems for sectors like automotive and new energy, and developing local talent in cooperation with institutions such as the Toyohashi University of Technology.

Watanabe Makoto, vice-president of Jaka Robotics Japan, highlighted the company's commitment to transforming robots from specialized equipment into user-friendly tools.
"The launch of the Toyohashi base demonstrates our dedication to getting closer to customer needs, and helping them improve production efficiency through rapid response mechanisms and standardized services," he said.
Looking ahead, the company plans to increase its investment in the Japanese market, aiming to provide intelligent automation solutions while supporting industrial upgrading in the region.
