A screen featuring the iconic stilt-building complex Hongyadong in Chongqing Municipality in Southwest China and London's Tower Bridge lit up on Thursday at King's Cross station, one of London's busiest railway hubs.

Passersby took photos with the screen and background showcasing the theme of this Chinese New Year event "Nihao! China. Let's Meet". They can wave to friends in Chongqing, thousands of miles away, through live broadcast screens and exchange New Year's greetings. They can also write digital postcards at the New Year Post Office. "It's amazing. It's my first time to see this kind of event," said a passerby.

The event, which ended on Monday, aims to showcase the unique urban charm of London and Chongqing for people of both cities. It is hosted by the Western China International Communication Organization and the Chongqing Luhai International Communication Foundation.
