As the number of university graduates hits a new high, authorities and universities have been doubling down on efforts to expand job opportunities and enhance job-seeking services to promote employment for the graduating class of 2025.

According to a news release by the Ministry of Education, as of Monday, a total of 92,000 large-scale job fairs for the class of 2025 have been held across the country, and more than 19.64 million pieces of recruitment information have been disseminated.

The national college students employment service platform, launched in 2022 to connect college graduates and employers, has organized 27 online recruitment activities for the class of 2025 so far, involving 21,000 employers and providing 912,000 job listings.

According to the ministry, governments, universities, enterprises and industrial organizations have cooperated to broaden the channels and pool high-quality job resources for graduates.

In Henan province, education, finance, and human resources and social security authorities have joined hands to hold a job fair for over 400 enterprises and more than 20,000 students, providing a platform for the two-way matching of employers and graduates.

Universities have been implementing the requirement to visit enterprises and increase the number of jobs. For example, Zhejiang University of Technology has deployed a team of experts to explore hiring needs across various industries in different counties. And government officials have been invited to the campus to communicate with students and help them find jobs at the grassroots level.

Moreover, universities are innovating job-seeking services to make them more targeted and customized. Small-scale, specialized job fairs tailored to various majors and industries are held to streamline the employment process.

Tianjin University of Science and Technology has arranged 23 recruitment activities and introduced AI-assisted mock interviews and resume optimization to graduates so that they can get professional support on career development with more convenience.

The Ministry of Education has pledged to continue to hold a series of specialized recruitment activities targeting key regions, industries and groups of graduates, in order to promote full and high-quality employment of college graduates.
