Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer TCL Technology Group Corp will stay committed to globalization strategy and expand its presence in global industrial and supply chains, while bolstering industrial upgrading and technological innovation, said a top executive of the company.

Li Dongsheng, TCL's founder and chairman, said Chinese enterprises should have the awareness and responsibility to promote local economic development, establish local industrial chains and nurture local suppliers when they make forays into overseas markets.

According to him, at present, TCL has established 38 manufacturing bases across the globe, with more than 3,000 upstream and downstream partners in industrial chains. It has set up a localized layout ranging from production, technology research and development, to supply chains in the international market.

The company is showcasing its cutting-edge technologies and products in fields such as intelligent terminals, semiconductor displays and new energy photovoltaics at the ongoing the second China International Supply Chain Expo in Beijing.

TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology, a subsidiary of TCL, is teaming up with Japan's high-tech materials producer AGC Inc, South Korean tech company Samsung Electronics and domestic enterprises Lenovo Group and Xiaomi Corp to ensure the safe, efficient and stable operation of the semiconductor display supply chains.

During the expo, TCL has displayed the industrial internet platform developed by its subordinate enterprise Getech Technology Co Ltd for the first time, which harnesses digital technologies such as artificial intelligence to realize automatic and intelligent production, as well as improve the quality of products.
