"It's really convenient now. You can charge it right at home," said Zeng Hui, a new energy vehicle owner residing in Kangzhuang community, Guangde city, Anhui province, on Nov 4.
In the afternoon of the same day, the charging station of Changlu New Energy Parking Lot in Kangzhuang community was officially put into operation, marking the implementation of the strategic cooperation achievements of Guangde's entire area charging facilities. This is another achievement of the State Grid Xuancheng Power Supply Company, following the completion of the "30-minute" charging circle in Guangde city and the "10-minute" charging circle in urban areas.
In recent years, as the number of new energy vehicles has soared, public demand for the establishment of "charging stations" has also grown. On May 31, under the coordinated efforts of the local government and higher authorities, the power supply company entered into the Framework Agreement on Investment, Operation, and Maintenance Cooperation for the Construction of a Smart Charging Network for New Energy Vehicles in Guangde City with various street and township offices, transportation investment companies, and provincial electric companies in the city. This agreement aims to comprehensively advance the construction of charging facilities across the entire region, with a focus on fostering green, eco-friendly, and intelligent transportation.
After signing the agreement, the State Grid Xuancheng Power Supply Company promptly established a dedicated task force to conduct a survey of potential charging station locations throughout Guangde. In total, 126 potential sites were identified. "When selecting charging station locations, we strive to choose areas with high pedestrian traffic and plan to install high-power charging stations, which can typically fully charge new energy vehicles within an hour," said Zuo Yihao from the company's marketing department.

In August this year, the State Grid Xuancheng Power Supply Company completed the on-site inspection and access scheme design for the first batch of nine sites in Guangde, with plans to install 30 new 120 kW DC fast-charging stations. This time, the Changlu New Energy Parking Lot charging station is equipped with five 120 kW integrated DC charging stations, which can meet the simultaneous charging needs of 10 new energy vehicles.
Ye Tan, the general manager of the local power supply company, stated that the aim of promoting "full coverage" of charging facilities is to alleviate the public's "anxiety about energy replenishment" and enable them to genuinely appreciate the convenience brought by the construction of charging facilities.
The rapid development of charging infrastructure is accelerating the expansion of new energy vehicles into more scenarios, spanning from cities to villages, and from scenic spots to service areas. This expansion is not just about increasing the number of vehicles, but more importantly, it's about technological upgrading. In Guangde, the technological transformation of charging facilities and the implementation of intelligent mobile charging robots in the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway service area have boosted the charging efficiency of the service area by five times.
The "dense-coverage" charging and swapping facilities enable new energy vehicles to shine in more fields. While providing strong support for the low-carbon transformation of transportation, they also contribute to the construction of health care bases in the Yangtze River Delta and the development of industries such as culture and tourism. According to statistics, there have been 3,658 electricity installation applications for new energy vehicle charging posts in Guangde, including about 95 public charging stations and about 620 charging posts, an increase of 150.07 percent over the previous year.

Next, State Grid Xuancheng Power Supply Company will continue to intensify the construction of infrastructure such as charging stations in public places in Guangde. By creating a smart, convenient, and safe charging network service platform, the company aims to further enhance its service guarantee capabilities, facilitate green travel for the public, and ensure that new energy vehicle owners deeply experience the "Satisfaction · Power Waiter" service. The company strives to embed the excellent power supply service system, characterized by "easy access to electricity, efficient use of electricity, and reliable electricity," deeply into the hearts of the people.
